Only 17 Days.

Hi! 

Thanks for stopping by my blog. I created this website as a way to detail my experiences in South Africa throughout the summer. Feel free to send questions, emails or respond to any of my posts... I look forward to your comments. Although I'm not bringing my computer on this trip, I will have access to Internet Cafes and will try updating with some regularity. 

Currently I'm in the process of packing for my trip which has proven to be a little difficult. Just as the title of my blog demonstrates my uncertainties about what's to come, I have many uncertainties about what to bring, as I have been advised against packing any jewelry, purses, cell phones, computers, high heels (hah, not that you can find me wearing these in Michigan anyway), electronics or other nice things I would be disappointed if lost, stolen or ruined. With all this seemingly extra space I have created, I am still bringing two large suitcases with old clothes, teaching supplies, books, and plenty of batteries and SD cards for my camera- most of which I intend on donating before I leave. (So either packing to come home will be a breeze, or I'll have accumulated enough goodies/presents/memories by then to refill my luggage.) 

Although my nerves have started to multiply as the July 8th leave date nears, I'm really excited for this incredible adventure ahead of me. Stay tuned for more updates and look for a nice, long post during the 18 hour plane ride I have...
